EVENT RECAPS

Let's give a shout-out to Zach Taylor and Kevin Metcalf for winning our GLC Throwdown and Pokemon World's Celebration events! If you have never heard of GLC, it stands for Gym Leader Challenge. GLC is a fan-made, single-prize Pokémon Trading Card Game format where players build 60-card decks using only one Pokémon element type and a single copy of each card. It functions similarly to the Commander format in Magic. FNM Updates

Shout-out to JT and Brain Horn for winning our last two FNMS! We have some exciting new FNM perks to get some new traction in as we enter a Standard RCQ season. Check out the perks below and if you have ever wanted to try a 60-card format like Standard, now is the best time to jump in. It's very beginner friendly at these events! NEW ARCADE!

NBA Jam is here! Nexus has a new arcade game that is free to play for all customers. Come check it out as we add new arcades every few months to our line-up. We have over a dozen arcades currently accessible to play! NBA Jam is a personal favorite of mine!

COMMANDER PODS ARE GROWING

Commander games are growing at Nexus, especially on Friday Nights. If you are looking to meet new players for commander pods, Nexus has a great selection. We also have our Thursday casual bracket 3 play. There are commander players daily at Nexus, so come and meet some new friends!

SHOUT OUT TO THE NEW BOOK CLUB

We had a book club meet at Nexus last week! I just wanted to give them a shout-out. It was 14 people and they growing in numbers. Thanks for stopping in!

Our group attended SCG Spotlight Series: Dallas - The Hobbit this weekend as well as other Waco locals and Nexus patrons. Thanks to everyone who attended and represented Nexus! It was great seeing everyone there and even seeing some old faces. Our Zombardment deck did well at the event as I was able to place 73rd out of nearly 1,000 people and win some prizes.
