What's new at Nexus?

For anyone who hasn't heard about our show this weekend, we have some exciting news for the Nexus community... Nexus will now be the new host of the Mom and Pop card show!

Our new partnership!

This will be a monthly card show containing over 30+ vendors featuring Pokémon, Sports Cards, MTG, and more! There will be raffles every hour, food, some Nexus activities, and it will be the biggest monthly card show in Waco! I had the pleasure of meeting Maxwell and Caitlin and thought they put on a terrific card show. I got to know a little more about them and we proposed the idea of moving the show to Nexus. I'm glad to say, things have worked out and we will now be hosting this show each month at Nexus! Stay tuned to our event calendar, discord, or social media for updates. We plan to make this thing even bigger and better and this is just getting started!

About Mom & Pop Card Show

Mom and Pop Card Show is a Texas based boutique sports, Pokémon and TCG card show created by husband and wife team Maxwell and Caitlin Benson; operating in multiple Texas markets from north to south with plans to expand nationally. They have extensive event planning experience with their other business Can't Even Comedy, having worked with eminent brands such as Nike, The W Hotel, Ace Hotel and Soho House. It will be $5 to enter the venue from 11:00am to 5:00pm Saturday. Vendor tables are nearly sold up, but there may be 1 or 2 if you are still looking.

Waco's Monthly Card Show

Our roots are right here in Waco, and this community has always been incredibly important to us at Nexus. We’re proud to host Waco’s LARGEST card show each month! Nexus aims to do everything we can to help create a space where the gaming and local communities can come together. We truly believe this partnership and event series have the potential to grow into something special. Thank you to everyone who comes out, supports the events, and joins us on this journey. We’re excited to see where the next year takes us!

How do I become a Vendor?

We have over 30 vendor spots every show right now for every show. There may still be a few vendor spots available this weekend, please reach out if you are interested. You can sign up here: https://momandpopcardshow.com/shows/mom-and-pop-card-show-waco-september-26-2026-741872/ A vendor will have either a 6ft or 8ft card table and will be allowed set-up time before the event. If you are looking to vend for a future event please reach out on their website or at the Nexus front counter for information.

Plans for the Future

Nexus aims to bring more activities to the already stacked card show including Vintage Pokémon gatherings and Pokémon Stadium open play, and potentially Pokémon. With an event stage, arcades, a full kitchen, and additional space, Nexus has a lot to offer! Come checkout our Pokemon Stadium setup and our Vintage Pokemon play area. We will have pre-built decks for Base -> Fossil and Base -> Neo available to play.

We will also be hosting additional events during the weekend as the show is only 11:00am - 5:00pm. There will be an overnight Lock-in that night. We are still taking sign-ups for the Lock-In.
